Since looking at a rig is often not as intuitive as looking at a model or an animation, I will explain the portfolio pieces I post.

I can rig to specific bone requirements, such as this horse, which needed to fit the bones from a predetermined skeleton.

I can also design rigs from scratch.  This lion is color coded based on bone type.

FurryRig

The lion’s foot is IK rigged.  The green bones control the foot motion.

FurryFoot

Look at that tiptoe!  It is fun to rig a foot so that the toe stays firmly planted on the ground even when the heel raises.

Blinking eyes and a moving mouth!  There’s not much more to say about this one.

Weighting ties the bones in a rig to the vertices in a model.  The automatic weight paint does a good job, but usually you need to do a little bit of manual touch up to make everything move naturally.
